I didn't remember this until you mentioned it, but now I am recalling some very vague memories of its existence. But only of its existence.. I don't remember whether it was a board game or video game or what. The only Nickelodeon show-based game I ever owned was the Finders Keepers boardgame, and I only owned it for about a day. I got it for Christmas when I was 7 or 8, and once my mother learned that you had to use junk from your own house to "hide" the game items in, she said it was a waste of money and returned it. I never even got to play it.
I had this game, but I never got to play it because we didn't have the right sound card. But I remember reading the instruction book and then having a dream about being in the game- that was pretty cool. Up until about a year ago I knew where all that stuff was, but it's missing right now so I can't try again.
Ahh, that's probably why I only have a vague recollection of it. My family didn't a have a computer until I was halfway through high school (1998-ish), and it wasn't on the internet till near the end of junior year in 1999. The only computer games I got to play were educational games of the Apple II era in school like Number Munchers and Oregon Trail. Not that I didn't love those games. :)
I played this game many times and loved it. I never beat it and never got past the mummy. I have no idea where it is now, but if I found a copy I would buy it. I remember it used to scare me profusely. I think it scared my mom as well.
I remember me my mom and my sister were addicted to this game. I must have bee no more than 6, I would be scared shitless by the mummy chase scene. That was horrifying when I was a child.
Anyway if anyone wants to play it you can download a copy here, all you need is dosbox to run it.

Yes. I also found out that it can run in Classic mode on OS X and discovered how to beat the mummy that chases you.
For your information, you can beat the game without triggering the mummy.
